It is mandatory for all staff to receive adequate fire awareness training on an annual basis. This 1.5 hour course can be conducted at your premises or venue of your choice for up to 12 members of staff.

The aim is to provide participants with an awareness and understanding of the threat posed by fire, your company’s fire procedures and the actions to be taken in the event of a fire.

A company certificate is awarded for this training, along with training notes for reference.

When a fire alarm sounds, people must be accounted for with ease and precision. This is critical during a real fire incident. It is therefore essential to have a tried-and-tested fire evacuation procedure for any building which allows everyone to be accounted for within an acceptable timescale.

The objective is to complete this process prior to the arrival of the emergency services, which in most cases will be between three and five minutes.

Nominating Fire Marshals to sweep-search areas is the best way of ensuring people are out of the building. Fire Marshals each have a specific area of responsibility to sweep during an emergency fire situation. They also have on-going responsibilities for ‘policing’ their respective areas in terms of fire safety, noting any breaches or problems and getting them actioned.

This 3 Hour training course is for a maximum of 12 people. It can be conducted at a venue of your choice.

If you only have a few people to train, it would be more cost-effective for them to join one of our open Fire Marshal courses, which run several times a month. Please contact us for more details and course dates/venues.
