Fire Safety in Business

Your local Fire and Rescue Service Fire Protection departments will be able to assess the level and appropriateness of fire protection measures in business premises, in order to keep you and your community safe.

Part of their role is to carry out inspections and to give advice to those people designated as the ‘Responsible Person’ on how to carry out fire risk assessments in relation to their properties.

They will also take enforcement action to make sure they meet their statutory and legal responsibilities if this proves necessary, but this is a last resort. Instead, we prefer to work together and openly discuss issues and how to resolve them.
