Fire Blankets

Fire Blankets

Fire Blankets are made of fire-resistant materials. The essential performance requirement of a fire blanket is to extinguish a cooking oli fire ( as detailed in BS EN 1869:1997). Therefore the blanket must:

  • Be flexible, with good draping qualities to eliminate oxygen from the burning oil

  • Allow the oil to cool gradually to below its self-ignition temperature - and not re-ignite when the blanket is removed after 17 minutes

  • Control the cooling process

Our fire blankets are UK manufactured to BS EN 1869: 1997 Certified with a unique 3 ply material, two layers of woven glass-fibre fabric with an inner layer of fire retardent film.

  • Compact and practical, one piece holder

  • Available in a selection of sizes
